Google will now localise your searches by default

Google no longer lets you change domains to search different countries

Searching on Google using a specific ccTLD, that is Google.com.sg for example, in India will no longer indicate results based on the country service but according to the user's location. "In addition, at the bottom of the search results page, you can clearly see which country service you are now using".

Today, we've updated the way we label country services on the mobile web, the Google app for iOS, and desktop Search and Maps. For example, even if you are now using.co.uk domain, still you will get the info of the country you are now in. "Upon return to Australia, you will seamlessly revert back to Australian country service".

This will switch automatically depending on the country you are in, and will switch back once you go home. Now, your location dictates the kind of results you'll get - you could go to google.com.au, for instance, but if you're in New Zealand, you'll still get search results tailored for your current whereabouts.

With this new Google Search and Maps update, the company is expecting that all users' experience with the services will be much improved.

Yuli Gurriel apologizes for Yu Darvish gesture, but faces Major League Baseball discipline
Gurriel is hitting.250 with a.975 OPS (on-base plus slugging) in the first three games of the World Series . Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred reportedly will speak with Gurriel on Saturday.

The country codes in Google's top-level domain names don't mean anything anymore. The said policy is also consistent with how Google already manages its services across a number of our other platforms, including YouTube, Blogger, Google Earth and Gmail, among others.

Scroll down to find Settings at the bottom of the page.

You've always been able to get localized search results by visiting Google at different domains - like google.com for the U.S., google.co.uk for England, or google.co.jp for Japan - but that won't be the case any more after today.

Google has made a major change in its Google Search section.
