Veteran US journalist Mark Halperin accused of sexual harassment

Journalist Mark Halperin is accused of sexually harassing five women: report

Following a Wednesday evening report that detailed five allegations of sexual harassment against NBC News and MSNBC senior political analyst Mark Halperin, the network is severing ties with him, at least for now. As for the news media covering these stories, Fox News isn't the only outlet reeling from its own internal strife, for NBC News now has its own to deal with.

Halperin, the co-author of best-selling book "Game Change", was accused in a CNN report of groping the women in the 2000s while he worked as ABC News' political director.

Following this, the Veteran journalist Mark Halperin is now apologizing for his "inappropriate" behavior, after five women sexually reported a case against him.

"During this period, I did pursue relationships with women that I worked with, including some junior to me", he told CNN this Wednesday.

Halperin denied to CNN that he grabbed a woman's breast and pressed his genitals against others. One woman said that she told a mentor about what had happened, but it's not clear if upper management at the network were ever informed. The women said Halperin did not promise them anything in exchange for sex or threaten to retaliate if they did not submit to his advances.

"It's a real injustice that she wasn't announced as the victor ", said Robert Dufresne, a volunteer rules official with the Mass. The individual tournament opportunity for female golfers takes place during the spring season.

Halperin, who is now an analyst for NBC News, issued an apology on Wednesday, although he denied grabbing a woman's breasts and pressing his genitals against three women.

After ABC stated that "Mark left ABC News over a decade ago, and no complaints were filed during his tenure", the women claimed they had not come forward due to fear of losing their jobs.

"I went up to have a soda and talk and - he just kissed me and grabbed my boobs", the woman said.

HBO canceled a miniseries Halperin was working on about presidential politics and his book publisher canceled plans to publish a sequel to "Game Change", which was made into an acclaimed HBO movie.
