Raheem Sterling never anxious about potential transfer to Arsenal

Like a stag do on a trolley dash at Sergio Georgini's

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has insisted that he never seriously considered joining Arsenal on transfer deadline day.

"It is really enjoyable". "Just a bit of disappointment that we conceded either side of the break". There is greater awareness, more intelligence on the pitch, a deeper understanding of how the game flows, what his role in the team is and how best to utilise his talent, but Sterling has also learnt from his life experiences.

"We just need to keep a level head", Sterling concluded.

With City challenging for honours domestically and in the Champions League and with a World Cup in Russian Federation at the end of the campaign this has the potential to be a defining season for Sterling.

The 22-year-old England worldwide was particularly targeted with online criticism during the European Championship in 2016.

"It is a massive year for me, for the team and I need to keep building, keep working hard and go to the World Cup on a positive", he said. But the former Liverpool winger revealed that he no longer pays attention to online comments. "He always tries to get you to do the simple things at top level and that's the genius thing about him".

Reporters later said the animal was confirmed to be a bull, and had been cornered in a baseball dugout. The New York Daily News reported Tuesday that the loose cow escaped from a slaughterhouse.

"My first year here I used to always be on Instagram".

However it did look like that his short tenure at Eastlands would be coming to an end in the summer as Sterling was potential leverage in a swap deal for Arsenal's Alexis Sánchez, but Guardiola quickly qwashed those rumours.

"I didn't need to speak with (Guardiola) because I had already spoken to him during the summer about pre-season".

Sterling puts his continuing improvement down to the influence of Guardiola, who took a keen interest in his cause even before linking up with the player for the first time in pre-season training a year ago.

"I didn't have any negative thoughts or anything bad about it".

"It wasn't something that I was anxious about because Pep is an honest guy and he would've spoken to me before that [if City wanted to sell me], so I didn't need to worry about it and I didn't think about it for one minute".
