Lady Gaga served with subpoena by Dr. Luke in Kesha defamation case

Kesha Dr. Luke

Lady Gaga is the latest to be drawn into the court case, having been subpoenaed by Dr. Luke's lawyers.

The music producer is keen for the star to hand over evidence such as text messages sent between her and Kesha in which the Tik Tok singer stated she was abused by Luke and claimed there was another victim.

Dr. Luke's team reportedly want to talk to Lady Gaga about her involvement with supposed false statements Kesha has made about the producer and his abusive ways. "This motion has become necessary because Dr. Luke's counsel has not been able to obtain, despite repeated request [s], a deposition date from Lady Gaga", Dr. Luke's representative said in a statement.

While Luke has denied all the accusations and filed a defamation suit against her, Kesha filed a separate sexual assault lawsuit against him in 2016, the same year her mother, Pebe Sebert, was sued by Luke for defamation.

The ongoing legal battle between Dr. Luke and Kesha has just brought another big name into the proceedings - and it's Lady Gaga.

Putin in Finland on centenary of independence from Russian Federation
Russian President Vladimir Putin has deplored a new round of U.S. sanctions on his country، saying Moscow will definitively respond to the embargos if they are implemented، according to PressTV.

Dr. Luke is continuing his defamation lawsuit against Kesha. Although, this summer, she's back with Rainbow (due out August 11) her first collection of new music in five years, and the single "Praying", from the upcoming album is already a bona fide hit. According to Page Six, the text messages that he wants to get his hands on refer to Dr. Luke as a "serial rapist".

They requested that Lady Gaga be deposed for the case. Lady Gaga would like to respond in a written statement.

Gaga isn't essential to the case, her spokesman said in a statement calling the singer "at most an ancillary witness".

Gottwald's lawyers claim the copy of the texts they previously received via subpoena were "heavily redacted" and "incomprehensible".

Lady Gaga was further tied into the legal proceedings when Kesha's lawyer, Mark Gregaros, implied on Twitter that Gottwald may have allegedly sexually assaulted Gaga as well. What happened to Kesha has happened to many female artists, including myself, and it will affect her for the rest of her life. She could now be required to attend a 3-hour, sit-down interview instead.
