Two Atlantic systems could become named storms this week — FIRST ALERT WEATHER

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 miles per hour (65 km/h) with higher gusts.

In addition to the Gulf storm, tropical development is possible near the equator over the central Atlantic early this week.

The next name used for this season is "Bret", followed by "Cindy". An Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft was scheduled to investigate this system later Monday, if necessary. There's a 60% chance of the storm being named in the next 5 days.

Forecasts of where this goes and what exactly it will become is a bit tricky.

If the storm tracks closer to Florida's west coast, we'd likely have a wetter week ahead in Central Florida.

It is still too early to predict a potential track for where the disturbance could form. But that may not matter all that much. This was the model that had 93L making landfall near the MS coast.

However, forecasters said, the GFS sends some increased deep tropical moisture from the system toward the Gulf Coast later next week.

Heavy rain is expected along the Gulf Coast this week. The weather service said isolated areas could get double that amount depending on how the storm evolves.

Court may rule on partisan gerrymandering - but maybe not
For example, in 2012, the Republican party received about 49% of the vote but won 60 of 99 seats in the state assembly. House of Representatives. "Austin and most of Travis County easily could be its own congressional district", Li said.

Watching the tropics this Monday.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.

"But it's remarkable to have two potential tropical cyclones at the same time during mid-June", the website added. Up until this year, the hurricane center would start issuing advisories when a storm forms.

A tropical cyclone is likely to occur in the Gulf of Mexico this week.

It is not yet classified a "Tropical Storm" because it doesn't have a closed surface circulation.

It is producing tropical storm effects, though, and a tropical storm warning remains in effect for the islands of Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad, Tobago and Grenada.

The odds of a tropical storm hitting southeast Texas this week are inching slowly upward as swirling winds pick up in the Caribbean. Clouds will hang around but eventually move out by Tuesday morning leaving us with mostly sunny skies. This is expected to be able to overcome the system, and dissipate it by the end of the work week.
