Florida Senate's bill on Amendment 2 clears first committee

Maryland would allow five more licenses each to grow and process medical marijuana in the state under a measure approved Tuesday by the House of Delegates. It now goes back to the House floor for a vote to approve the Senate's spending amendments on what the House previously passed. However no action was taken Tuesday.

In Wednesday afternoon's session, Sen. The amendment appears to be substantially similar to a bill (SB 1472) filed Sen. "I think that also a life sentence of unemployment is certainly something that we're all going to pay for one way or another".

If the Senate concurs, it then heads to the governor.

Before the final vote, an amendment passed that would limit future tuition increases to no more than one percent over the rate of inflation.

But as passed on to the House, SB 386 would have authorized use of medicinal marijuana in plant form. They could also put drops into edibles or into tea.

Shott explained this money would go into the bureau to operate the program, the Department of Juvenile Correctional Services, to the police academy for training law enforcement, and to the governor's Fight Substance Abuse fund. Erin Houchin, which cleared the Senate in February, would have required pregnant minors to at least attempt to notify their parents before an abortion. The bill includes some protection, he explained.

"I have heard nothing in this debate that the Shott amendment will eliminate the possibility of patients getting the medical marijuana they need", he said. "I'm asking for a do not concur, as being only fair to the House of Representatives", Brodehl said. "That is the type of funding that allows them to be the most flexible and it's the most fair funding as well". Today's vote, however, does not mean that the work on this bill is finished. He said it may diminish symptoms, but there are other medicines that can do that as well.

Oxford continue dominance in Boat Race

The amended West Virginia Second Chance for Employment Act (SB76) would allow ex-convicts, after completing their sentences and proving several years of good behavior, to petition in court to reduce certain nonviolent felony convictions down to a misdemeanor level. "Our culture will not endure much more of what we're doing to it". It would ban schools from hiking costs for the two years after the 2017-18 school year. Mark Maynard, R-Wayne, said he couldn't support the bill because he was anxious about West Virginia being in conflict with federal law.

State senators on Monday gave their first approval to a major overhaul of their medical marijuana legislation.

"It succeeded only after procedural maneuvering and bad-faith legislative manipulation that is beneath the dignity of a democracy", said Charles Foster Johnson, executive director of Pastors for Texas Children.

The top three sources of revenue for Texas public universities are all being targeted for reductions or freezes by federal or state government leaders.

Shott said the bill adds some protection to physicians.

"Don't we want our trained physicians to use any tool that's available to them to relieve the pain of their patients?" he asked.
