Take some time to think about the way you are acting online. You as a visit of any website will have a specific process that you’re going to follow. If you truly like the article you’re reading your most likely going to do the following things. First and foremost, you’re going to share it on your social media by copying the link and pasting it on your board. Second, you’re most likely going to check for any other related articles.
Talking About What You Read
Is that all you are doing? Well, the answer is no. If you think about it and you’re going to realise that you are most likely scrolling all the way down to see if there is a comment section and the article. That is usually because most people want to find answers to some questions that may have been generated while reading the article. Perhaps they read a specific term that they have never heard about before and they want to know whether more people talk about that term or not.
Perhaps the article itself is a bit controversial and, they are thinking about engaging in conversation with other people to solve certain questions or perhaps just talk about the article itself. In most cases, people do not like doing something like that on their social media. When you post an article do you want some of your online friends to go onto the article and start commenting on it without asking for your permission first? Of course you don’t.
Give People A Place To Talk
The commenting system on a blog basically acts like a firefighter. Instead of commenting on your own wall you’re basically going to be talking to a completely different environment. Now, if you try to see this from the point of view of the person owning the website this can only translate to one thing. More traffic and more engagement. As long as you have a commenting system under your articles and you’re giving people the opportunity to talk about them people are going to stay on your blog.
Google is going to see that as a very engaging and very informative blog so, they will give you a much better rank. Eventually, you will see your position increasing because of the fact that your visitors are staying longer. Nowadays people like to talk about what they read but they rarely like to share what they read. Give them the opportunity to talk right there under your articles.
