Beginners Basic Guide to Hosting Your First Webinar

Marketing is getting tough day by day and people are losing interest in reading long pieces of content. Webinars are more than a piece of content. It is a known fact that webinars deliver high conversion rates for obvious reasons like attention, time period, interaction, and interest of the participant. If you are not leveraging the power of webinars even till now, you are losing the race. I am moving directly to the topic and telling you about how you can create and host your first webinar with ease.

What Tools Do You Need?

Some of the most essential things that you need to host a webinar are a computer machine (mobile is also a good way these days) and a webinar platform. There are many webinar platforms available in the market that you can choose from. In my opinion, you can go with GoToMeeting or Clickmeeting. I personally have used Clickmeeting and my experience was amazing with it. You can read my experience in this Clickmeeting Review.

No offense if you are using the default camera and mic of your laptop/desktop, but if you want to make a better impression and look professional then you must get a quality mic and webcam for the webinar. Better delivery of sound and image of the presenter increases the trust flow among the customers or prospects. Along with the trust, you are also creating an image of yourself so going professional is the best approach. Getting a ring light can be beneficial in terms of the quality of the picture you are delivering because lighting matters.

A lot or most of us use presentations in webinars. So, instead of using the traditional microsoft word, you can move to Canva and try it out. I can bet that you’ll end up with the best presentation of your life so far.

Think of an Attractive Webinar Topic

People are going to attend your webinar to look for the solution to a problem they are having or facing. So, your webinar topic should be promising to the user that he’ll be getting the solution in this webinar. Think of a title that you find attractive and ask some of your friends if they too find it attractive or there is a need for some improvement or either change it to a whole new one.

Creating Lessons for Participants

Every webinar or video lesson taken must contribute something to the viewer’s knowledge library. Your participants must be able to do something learned from your webinar, if they are not able to do so then you are simply failing with your webinars. If they are getting learnings from your webinar, they are going to remember it for a long time and be thankful to you that is a great way of building personal or brand recognition and value.

Make sure to include in the description of your webinar what the user will be able to achieve after attending the webinar. For example, By the end of the webinar, they will be able to create logos. Always state the learning outcome at the starting of your webinar as well as in the description. Let them also know that you probably have looked at many articles and watched videos to learn guitar but not yet able to play it properly, But when the webinar is over, you will be able to play your first song for sure.

Create a timeline of lessons or topics for your event. Assign particular time to an event like 5 minutes to the introduction, 10 minutes to the basics of guitar, 10 minutes to understanding chords, etc. This way you can outline your webinar and make it organized.
