First Lady Melania Trump grabs lunch at Whataburger during Texas trip

The American chain opened its 1st restaurant in Corpus Christi, TX in 1950!' tweeted Grisham, Mrs. Trump's director of communications, along with a photo of the women ordering their lunch.

First lady Melania Trump and Second lady Karen Pence, followed by a motorcade and a hungry press pool, stopped at Whataburger for a fast food fix in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The goal of the trip was to give the First and Second ladies time with aide workers and first responders who have been working nonstop to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

According to KZTV, Trump and Pence also met with several families whose home was destroyed during the hurricane and made a stop at an elementary school in Aransas Pass.

Mrs. Pence echoed the First Lady's sentiments, stating before their trip, "I am looking forward to the opportunity to accompany the First Lady in Texas and to visit with families and their children in the communities most impacted by the storm".
