Pizza Hut To Deliver 6-Packs Of Beer, Fine Wines In 2018

The move by Pizza Hut is its latest attempt to increase its sales. The service will debut in Phoenix, Arizona with six-packs of Budweiser, Bud Light, and Shock Top. "We're excited to offer the convenience of beer and wine delivered to a customer's home", said Stacy Lynn Bourgeois, Pizza Hut's director of brand marketing.

Pizza Hut is focused on improving the pizza experience overall - from introducing its oven-HOT delivery system last month to being the first in the pizza industry to introduce beer and wine delivery. The company has not yet decided the wines it will be delivering, or if it should offer just full bottles or individual servings, said Bourgeois.

Maduro: Venezuela to create new 'petro' cryptocurrency
President Donald Trump's administration this year hurt the country's ability to move money through the worldwide banking system. He said that Venezuela will develop a cryptocurrency that is backed by gas, diamond reserves, gold, and oil.

Shares of Yum, which also owns KFC and Taco Bell, were little changed after the announcement. During the summer, the pizza chain announced that it would be hiring 14,000 more drivers around the country by the end of 2017. The beer and wine will be delivered in a custom cooler to ensure those six packs are ready to drink. Of course, individual stores will need to acquire liquor licenses, but a Pizza Hut representative told CNN plenty of locations already have one, so that should not be too big a hurdle in the process. Customers also have to have their IDs ready at the door to take advantage of delivery.

All drivers with beer and wine deliveries on their routes will be at least 21 years old, according to the company.
