Anthony Davis was carried off of the court due to a left groin injury suffered in the opening minute of the fourth quarter during Friday's 114-108 loss to the Utah Jazz.

The Pelicans initially said Davis had left groin injury but have updated the injury report to indicate it is a "left pelvis" issue. New Orleans is on the second night of a back-to-back on Saturday, and if they want to take down the Portland Trail Blazers, they will have to do it without Davis.

New Orleans would go on a 12-0 run of its own, with Miller making two 3-pointers, but the Pelicans were unable to hold off Mitchell and the Jazz.

Davis was poised to have a big game, having scored 17 and grabbing five rebounds at that point in the game.

The NBA says New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis has been fined $25,000 in connection with his ejection from a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

The four-time All-Star has been somewhat injury plagued throughout his National Basketball Association career, though he played in a career-high 75 games just last season.
