Nigeria police say at least 20 killed in mosque bombing

BREAKING: At least 50 killed in suicide bombing at mosque

"The group has used children as young as five to carry out hundreds of attacks on busy marketplaces, checkpoints and mosques in the past few years", the British newspaper said.

Abubakar Othman, a police spokesman in Adamawa state, said the death toll is at least 50 but "there could be more as those seriously injured could add to the figure".

He said since 2010 Amnesty International has been documenting human rights abuses and serious violations of international humanitarian law by Boko Haram that may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

NAN reports that the attack happened in Dazala area of Mubi town in Adamawa on Tuesday around 5 a.m. when Muslims were observing the early morning prayer.

"Seven Boko Haram on two motorbikes met them and slaughtered two, then killed the other four".

Yan St-Pierre, a counter-terrorism specialist at the Modern Security Consulting Group in Berlin, said the bombing fitted a pattern of previous attacks.

Trump private charity received almost $3M in donations during presidential campaign
The Washington Post reported that the foundation spent $258,000 to settle lawsuits against Trump's for-profit businesses. During that year's presidential race, the charity made more donations than it had from 2012 through 2015 combined.

There was no immediate comment from Nigeria's government or military on the attack.

In October, three female suicide bombers killed 13 people and wounded 16 in the northeastern city of Maiduguri in Nigeria.

In late 2014, Boko Haram briefly occupied Mubi in its quest to establish a hardline Islamic state.

Yet in recent months, Boko Haram activity has been concentrated around Madagali, in the far north of Adamawa near the border with neighbouring Borno state.

There have been repeated raids and suicide bombings, blamed on Boko Haram remnants pushed out of their camps in the Sambisa Forest.

He said, "Today's attack appears to be yet another example of Boko Haram's continued unlawful disregard for human life".
