Ohio Supreme Court justice 'on behalf of all heterosexual males' posts on Facebook about sexual history

In an interview with cleveland.com, O'Neill confirmed he penned the post and defended Franken and Moore. Al Franken against allegations he groped a woman while she was asleep - but then went too far. Franken's (D., Minn.) sexual misconduct scandal.

"In the last fifty years I was sexually intimate with approximately 50 very attractive females", he wrote on his page.

O'Neill says when a US senator "commits a non criminal act of indiscretion" and his apology is accepted by the victim "IT IS WRONG for the dogs of war to leap onto his back and demand his resignation".

Democrat William O'Neill said he was trying to dampen the "media frenzy" over sexual assault in his post, so that politicians could get back to "legalizing marijuana and opening the state hospital network to the combat the opioid crisis".

Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper wrote on Twitter: "Just a bad post by Justice O'Neill".

Moments ago I was able to contact Justice O'Neill to announce my resignation from the campaign.

Christopher Clevenger says on Twitter that, as a victim of sexual assault, he "cannot in good faith" remain a part of O'Neill's campaign team.

O'Neill's campaign manager tweeted his resignation, three women running for governor as Democrats called for O'Neill to resign, and Ohio Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor issued a statement condemning the Facebook post "in no uncertain terms".

But the post that garnered national attention is just the latest chapter in a story over whether O'Neill should stay on the bench while he campaigns for the Democratic nomination for OH governor.

OH voters are in shock after a top judge boasted of having been "sexually intimate" with "approximately 50 very attractive females".

The post initially gave identifying details about women O'Neill had slept with, one of whom "he made passionate love [with] in the hayloft of her parent's barn". Al Franken to resign.

O'Neill says he'll be out of the race if former attorney general Richard Cordray is in, which O'Neill thinks will happen in a week, since Cordray has announced he's leaving the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
