Carrie Underwood Injured in Fall Outside of Home

Singer Carrie Underwood broke her wrist and suffered other injuries after falling outside her home here.

Her injuries will reportedly prevent her from her next scheduled performance at Sunday's Country Rising Benefit Concert, The Tennessean reports.

Carrie later took to Twitter to thank her National Football League husband Mike Fisher for being with her during her accident: 'Glad I've got the best hubby in the world to take care of me'. Carrie was also treated for cuts and abrasions at the hospital before being released. On Saturday, she gave an update on her condition and thanked her husband for looking after her. Her rep believes her recovery will take time and appreciates any of the prayers sent out by her friends, fans, and family.

The rep added that Underwood's husband and former National Hockey League player Mike Fisher, whom she married in 2010, also flew in to be by her side Friday night and the American Idol victor was later discharged from the hospital.

However, she explained that her recovery would undoubtedly take some time. All proceeds from the ticket sales go to victims of the Las Vegas shooting and the hurricanes that affected Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and a number of Caribbean islands.
