Unruh said an unknown woman noticed how shaken her son was, and encouraged him to run away. "He did not report the crime at the time. he knew the kind of attention that would result from making an accusation against such a public person".

Longtime Boston news anchor Heather Unruh made the tearful and stunning accusation today that two-time Oscar victor Kevin Spacey sexually molested her "starstruck" teenage son past year at an upscale Nantucket bar.

Unruh, former news anchor for ABC affiliate WCVB, said Spacey provided her 18-year-old son with numerous drinks before reaching down his trousers and grabbing his genitals.

"Nothing could have prepared my son for how that sexual assault would make him feel as a man", she said.

Unruh claims the assault happened at a bar in Nantucket and that Spacey "stuck his hand down my son's trousers and grabbed his genitals".

The teenager had lied to Mr Spacey about his age, she said, but "whether he was over 21 or not, Kevin Spacey had no right to sexually assault him". "There are a lot of people who hide behind keyboards and say really ugly things".

Ms Unruh said embarrassment and fear meant her son did not inform authorities at the time, but that he had filed a police report following the tide of allegations against Harvey Weinstein last month.

Talese took particular issue with actor Anthony Rapp, the first of many to come forward publicly against Spacey. Nantucket Police Lieutenant Angus C. MacVicar couldn't confirm whether a sexual assault report was made, citing confidentiality under MA law.

The 58-year-old "House of Cards" star had previously recorded a segment for the special that will celebrate "The Carol Burnett" show.

Giants reinstate Janoris Jenkins from suspension after one game
Jenkins failed to notify the Giants of his whereabouts and thus was suspended by Ben McAdoo . Manning has thrown for 1,820 yards in eight games with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Her son is represented by Mitchell Garabedian, an attorney best known for representing clergy sex abuse victims.

She also spoke directly to Spacey.

Garabedian said he is conducting his own investigation and did not say whether they intend to file civil action against Spacey.

"The #weinsteinscandal has emboldened me- #truth time. Time the dominoes fell", she tweeted on October 13, in a missive that has accumulated 3,800 retweets and more than 4,700 likes.

Since then, other allegations have surfaced and the Oscar-winning star said he is seeking "evaluation and treatment".

Since Rapp made his allegations, Spacey has been hit by at least 10 other claims.

In response, the Los Gatos-based streaming service cut ties with Spacey, who starred in and executive produced the show for six seasons.

Spacey has not responded to the mounting allegations but apologized to Rapp for what he called "deeply inappropriate drunken behavior".
