Twitter Slams Larry David's Concentration Camp Jokes On Saturday Night Live

Larry David Goes To The Dark Side With Death Camp Pick-Up Lines On 'SNL'

"I've always been obsessed with women", David said during his SNL opening.

David's monologue - watch it above - started out with the comic's standard self-deprecation, joking about being a total loser during his single NY days. Most things can be amusing.

David spent part of his opening monologue making Holocaust jokes that some felt were in particularly poor taste.

David likely won't be winning any Emmys for hosting SNL last night, but the comedian is still going strong on HBO with season 9 of his legendary comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, a venue where his sometimes aggressively non-PC humor manages to land with a lot more accuracy than on SNL. "And I couldn't help but notice a very disturbing pattern emerging, which is that numerous predators - not all, but many of them - are Jews". So if you were coming to SNL for water cooler political content, they missed three pretty big shots that took up almost the entire first half hour.

"'Hey, Shlomo, look at that one over there by Barracks 8, oh my God is she gorgeous".

Leaked papers show commerce secretary hid ties to Putin 'cronies'
The Russian firm is run by Putin's son-in-law Kirill Shamalov and other members of the Russian strongman's inner circle, some of whom have been sanctioned by the United States.

Then he went on to tell a holocaust joke about dating in a concentration camp.

However, there were also some who thought David was not out of line when he cracked the jokes as he was Jewish himself.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30/10:30. You know, if they ever get out of here, I'd love to take you out for some latkes.

The group, which represents all Holocaust survivors in Israel, condemned David's monologue and called on him to apologize. "Not cool." Another wrote, "#SNL I can't believe they did jokes about a concentration camp I just can't believe what I just saw #LarryDavid it will never be okay to do".

During the opening, David touched on the ongoing sexual crime scandals that are tearing through Hollywood as of late.
