Samsung Turkey: Android 8.0 Oreo to start rolling out in early 2018

After discreetly launching the respectable but forgettable Galaxy Tab A (2017) in countries like India or Vietnam, and announcing the ruggedized, business-optimized Galaxy Tab Active2 for "select markets" around the world, the time has come today for Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Tab A (8.0) in the U.S. with minimal fanfare as well. Samsung is set to join that exclusive company, albeit not till the start of 2018.

According to GSMArena, there will be 7500 spots for each device and only T-Mobile and Sprint users will be allowed to enroll for this Android Oreo Beta update with respect to the above screenshot. What has been confirmed is that the Oreo update will be rolled out to Samsung devices by early next year - 2018.

We're several months away from the Galaxy S9 launch, which means it's time for even more rumors. The report reveals that some Samsung phones - including Galaxy S8 series and Note 8 will get the Oreo sweetness. Google's Android 8.0 Oreo was unveiled on August 21, and Nexus as well as Pixel devices were among the first to get the update.

Treasury report slams consumer bureau in latest salvo over arbitration rule
The WSJ describes the passage as the most significant legislative victory for the financial industry since Trump became president. The report comes as Congressional Republicans are trying to rally support to pass a bill to override the CFPB's new regulations.

"Simply referred to as the Galaxy Tab A (8.0"), Samsung's latest tablet is being targeted at families with kids in search of a big-screen entertainment solution that won't break the bank.

That said, Samsung and its carrier partners usually extend bug fixes and security patches to devices well beyond the two-year mark. Needless to say, it is very disappointing that Samsung is going to take nearly half a year to complete the Oreo update rollout even for its flagship models.
