Hartley to race F1 for Toro Rosso

Brendon Hartley poised for Formula 1 debut

'This opportunity came as somewhat of a surprise, but I never did give up on my ambition and childhood dream to reach F1.

You'll note that the other driver can't be Kvyat: he has already returned in the other vehicle, having replaced Carlos Sainz Jr, who went off to Renault as part of a new engine deal between Honda and the two teams.

"The Austin track is one I really enjoy and one I have raced at recently".

Should he compete in the race he will become New Zealand's first F1 driver since Mike Thackwell in 1984.

The Palmerston North-product is familiar with Red Bull Racing, completing one test for them in 2008 before being made an official reserve driver for Red Bull and Toro Rosso in the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

As well as testing for Toro Rosso, Hartley was reserve driver for Red Bull's two teams in 2009 and '10 as part of Red Bull's junior driver set-up.

"I've got a lot to learn in one week but I feel ready for it, honestly".

Kejriwal's Wagon R auto found in Ghaziabad
The auto , which was now being used by AAP's media coordinator Vandana Singh, was stolen from right outside the Delhi Secretariat. He had later begun to use a bigger vehicle , also donated by one of his well wishers, just before the 2015 assembly elections.

He can win a second World Endurance Championship with the factory Porsche team if results go his way this weekend in Japan.

Hartley was formerly part of the Red Bull Junior Team and has enough Super License points to compete in Formula One; but he is also now contracted to Porsche in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and is purportedly in talks with Chip Ganassi for a 2018 IndyCar deal.

Brendon Hartley, 27, who is the favorite to land a full-time IndyCar ride in the #10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda next season, is set to make his Formula One debut next weekend in the United States Grand Prix driving for Toro Rosso at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

He has raced in the Le Mans 24 Hours each year since, while also competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship since 2014.

New Zealand might be about to have its next Formula 1 driver. "In the early days walking down the road, he had to have a stride ahead of you", Smith said.

"There is always time to go back to Indycars because he is still young". "The fact that Formula 1 can look into this championship and say, "We need to choose a driver from here", I think that [shows] the level of drivers and level of teams and these programs", Bamber said. "With all the racing experience accumulated over the years, we are convinced that he will do a fantastic job for us", he said.
