Unrecognisable After Plastic Surgery, Chinese Women Detained At Airport

Women Detained As Passport Photos Look Different After Plastic Surgery

When it comes to passport control, it's usually alright.

Three women flew to South Korea from China to get a plastic surgery, after the procedure was done, they wanted to go back home, but they weren't allowed.

In the picture - which appears to have been removed from her account, but not before going viral - the women sit, passports in hand, faces swollen from the surgery and heavily bandaged. The airport authorities held them for further questioning.

According to reports, the photo was first posted on Weibo by Chinese TV presenter Jian Huahua on Sunday and has since been taken down.

The picture is said to have been taken over the recent Golden Week national holiday in China, an eight-day period when many Chinese - said to be six million this year - travel overseas.

Odell Beckham Jr. to Undergo Season-Ending Surgery on Ankle Injury
The Giants are also expecting Brandon Marshall to miss multiple games with an ankle injury. He was carted off the field and did not return to the game. "Next man up", McAdoo said.

But a trio of Chinese women have faced a major headache when trying to prove they were the women in their passport photos after undergoing plastic surgery on their trip.

More than 500,000 Chinese residents a year are said to make trips overseas for medical tourism.

The three women were completely unrecognisable after plastic surgery.

Asia Wire reported the three women flew to South Korea during China's Golden Week, a national holiday where Chinese people are encouraged to take vacations. The proportion for plastic surgery is not yet known, however for Chinese women South Korea has become a top plastic surgery destination.

Swelling after facial plastic surgery, in particular rhinoplasty, is an inevitable element of the postoperative period, which also includes bandages, bruises and the need to breathe through the mouth.
