Ezekiel Elliott's 6-Game NFL Suspension Reinstated by Court

Bad news for the Dallas Cowboys... a federal appeals court has ruled Ezekiel Elliott's 6-game suspension is back

The Federal appeals court has cleared the way for the NFL's six-game suspension of Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott's.

Effectively, Elliott's appeal case, which upheld his suspension, was dismissed in court and the National Football League is now legally able to follow through on its initial six-game suspension.

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans ruled 2-1 to vacate a preliminary injunction issued to the NFL Players' Association by a federal judge last month. Stay with KLTV for updates. For Elliott owners, it might actually be better for him to immediately start sitting so he's eligible to play when teams are in the fantasy playoffs.

Because the Cowboys do not play this week, the union has more time to file motions before Elliott's suspension might affect his chances of playing in a game. Dallas next plays October 22 in San Francisco.

Several South American media outlets have published photos of the moment, referring to it as the "Lima Pact". He told Colombian outlet Win Sports: "I believe that Colombia today can play against anyone".

Two weeks ago, the league sought to throw out Elliott's entire lawsuit to restore the six-game suspension. Authorities in Columbus, Ohio, did not charge Elliott with a crime.

The injunction was put in place by a Texas judge who agreed with the argument of an NFL Players Assn. attorney who said Elliott wasn't given a fair chance during his appeals hearing.

The NFL has won the latest round of legal wrangling over the Ezekiel Elliott suspension.

Elliott, the league's leading rusher last season as a rookie, has totaled 393 rushing yards in five games this season.
