Florida unveils Gator green alternate uniforms

LOOK: Florida will wear green uniforms for the first time ever vs. Texas A&M

The uniform, which was under development for two years and was unveiled Monday night, features a "swamp green" jersey with an alligator-skin pattern.

The Gators will wear an alternative "swamp green" uniform created to look like the scaly skin of an alligator.

So much pride, apparently, that for the first time the team will stray from its blue and orange color scheme Saturday to sport a jersey meant to evoke the look of an actual alligator.

Helmets will have a Gators head logo on one side only.

The trousers are solid swamp green with a TPU Gator logo patch on the hip while the socks are swamp green Vapor Grip socks.
