As he disappeared into the tunnel at MetLife Stadium, the Giants' hopes for the season went with him.

Eli Manning fumbled on the next play and Los Angeles turned that turnover into a score three plays later.

The alarming Giants season may be going full disaster.

In addition to Beckham, fellow receivers Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and Dwayne Harris also suffered injuries during New York's loss Sunday.

Galen Rupp wins the Chicago Marathon. Jordan Hasay sets women's record
The time made her the second-fastest American marathoner in history behind only Deena Kastor, who clocked 2:19.36 in 2006. Chicago was Rupp's fourth marathon and he has never finished worse than third in a 42.2K with a victory at the 2016 U.S.

Beckham Jr. clearly had tears in his eyes while being taken off the field, signaling the possible severity of this injury.

OUT: After playing in 84 straight games, Giants DE Olivier Vernon (ankle) was sidelined for the first time in his career. He had two catches for 15 yards before leaving Sunday with the injury.

Beckham had previously missed the team's season opener with a left ankle injury. The Chargers, though, scored the final 10 points of the first half on a 6-yard touchdown pass to Gordon and a 20-yard field goal with six seconds left.

Beckham had 97 yards on five catches and a touchdown in the loss.
