Arcade Edition comes to PC in January 2018

Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition is probably real, now that Amazon has a page for it

Earlier today, Amazon showed a listing for the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.

Street Fighter V released on February 16, 2017 for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4.

Arcade Mode will enable players to battle the CPU along six different paths that lead to unique endings based on their performance, while the Extra Battle Mode will feature timed-exclusive challenges in which they can use Fight Money to earn new premium outfits each month.

While Capcom is known for releasing multiple iterations of its games, especially Street Fighter, the Arcade Edition will be a completely free update to current Street Fighter 5 owners.

The updated version will be available digitally and physically in North America and Europe for a recommended retail price of $39.99.

In other Street Fighter V news, last week it was revealed that the game would be receiving new Halloween-themed costumes in the coming weeks. It's the only game in the series that hasn't had an arcade machine - Street Fighter IV, believe it or not, launched in the arcades before hitting home consoles.

Russian Federation proposes a mechanism to monitor crude oil exports
Output cuts by OPEC and non-OPEC producers were "working well", and compliance was at an acceptable level, the oil minister added. Diplomatic relations were restored in 1992, after a five-decade hiatus, but Riyadh and Moscow found little common ground.

Capcom's bad luck with leaks continues, although this time it's Amazon who is at fault.

If you bought the base game and want access to all the characters (without having to sacrifice hours of your time for the pleasure), you have to complete challenges, or complete various Missions or run-throughs of Survival modes to grind out currency that'll let you buy more characters.

This will include two new modes, which are the Arcade and the Extra Battle Modes.

The listing mentions a January 16, 2018 release date. In order to introduce more variety in each match, all characters will receive a second V-Trigger you can choose before the match begins!

Arcade Edition is basically one big do-over for dedicated fans and new players alike. "It's now at a point where it's much easier to recommend, and all signs point to SFV having an extremely rosy future as the leading fighting game". This is a major upgrade, and it'll no doubt change how the game is played when you can pick between different V-triggers.
