Google shows off Clips, its smart camera

Google Clips was a surprise launch at the MadeByGoogle event as no information about the device had leaked out prior to its announcement.

The firm has built machine learning capabilities directly into Clips so when you turn it on, the camera looks for good moments to capture. You can see it similar to Apple's Live Photo. What do you think of this new product?

The idea of a wearable camera is not new, but Clips is created to sit in a room or attached to a wall to capture images without having to be worn on your body or even controlled using the shutter button.

You have the ability to pair the Google Clips camera with your smartphone and then you just turn it on while resting it on a flat surface.

Women's panel to submit Hadiya report in SC
Dave even asked the court: "two of the seniormost leaders in the BJP are married to members from minority community. The bench also wondered whether the 24-year-old woman could be placed in her father's custody .

To turn on the camera, you simply twist its shutter. You set it up or clip it on anywhere you want and it'll do the rest of the work. The camera features facial recognition and it detects the faces of people in front of it. You have to initiate the connection through an app to transfer filers. It learns over time who people around your home are to capture better shots.

The key here is that it uses artificial intelligence to capture the right moment.

'We know privacy and control really matter, so we've been thoughtful about this for Clips users, their families, and friends, ' the firm said.

In addition to the built-in 16 gigabytes of storage, Google Pixel owners are given free and unlimited original-quality storage for photos and clips. Plus, it'll alert you when its lens is blocked via intelligent notifications to your phone. Priced at $249, chances are it won't be exactly flying off the shelves.
