Honeypreet arrested by Haryana police after 38 days of hide

The arrest came after Honeypreet gave an exclusive, explosive interview to India Today. In an application filed by her, Honeypreet said that she was not involved in these violent events that took place after Ram Rahim's conviction.

There had been reports that Honeypreet had fled to Nepal following Gurmeet Singh's sentencing. Honeypreet also denied allegations that she had sexual relations with Baba Ram Rahim Singh. Honeypreet also accused the media of "maligning a father-daughter relationship". Can a father not keep his hands on his daughter? "Please do not believe these rumours". "Can a daughter not love her father?" she said.

However, many teams of Haryana Police has traveled across the country to nab Honeypreet Insan. "I went with my father when he was convicted by court", she said. An arrest warrant was issued under her name along with few other functionaries of the Dera Sacha Sauda.

"Was I present with the arsonists?"

Describing the allegations against her as "baseless", she told the news channel that she was falsely implicated in a sedition case. After my father's departure, I became helpless. How else do you think can a woman be in the premises amid such security arrangement? "I have been called a traitor which is absolutely wrong", she added.

However, Honeypreet Insan has finally been traced.

She said she went with her "father" Ram Rahim to the court after his conviction like a daughter and that too with the government's consent.

"Try to understand my condition". Honeypreet, who has been claiming to be Ram Rahim's "adopted daughter", starred as the main heroine in five films he directed, produced and acted in over a period of three years. "I am being joined by people with a similar mindset", says Sandeep Mishra in the video, according to India Today.

"We call (Ram Rahim) papa coach". I did what people guided me to do.

On the question of surrender, she said that she would go to the Punjab and Haryana High Court once she is in a better "mental state".

In an interview given to the news channel, Honeypreet Insan said she will approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The court's order was based on the ground that she was evading arrest and hence, not entitled to any discretionary relief. Rioting by Dera supporters in cities in Haryana that day led to 38 deaths.

The officer said the priority was to question Honeypreet. "We are confident that we will get justice".

"She is being brought to Panchkula for questioning in connection with the incidents of violence".

"I did not have any interest in movies".

"You have seen the whole situation". When first movie was made then I felt that I could work behind the camera. She handles a lot of tasks related to Dera Suda.

"He (Dera chief) used to hold Satsang". She spent the night at Dera headquarters.

It has been reported that all those who helped Honeypreet Insan and provided her shelter during this period, shall also be probed.
