Puerto Rico angry at Trump official 'good news story' remark

Trump says 'big decisions' to be made on rebuilding costs for Puerto Rico

"Puerto Rico was totally destroyed".

Trump on Saturday morning also levelled some blame on the media, which he calls the "fake news", for portraying the federal government's response to Puerto Rico as inadequate.

"It is not a good-news story when people are dying, when they don't have dialysis, when their generators aren't working and their oxygen isn't providing for them".

"We have fuel trucks sitting out there in what we call a "quick reaction force" with Marines who are ready to go, map out which hospitals they have to go to and we will get there before the lights go out and people die", Lt. Col. Mainz said. This is a "life or death" story. "We want them to be safe and sound and secure and we will be there every day until that happens", he said at the beginning of remarks to the National Association of Manufacturers in Washington.

Trump, who is scheduled to visit Puerto Rico Tuesday, tweeted on Saturday, "The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump". "I have no time for small politics or for comments that do not add to the situation here".

"The truth is staring us in the face. We transported 14 patients from one of our facilities".

Democratic Rep. Luis Gutierrez on Friday broke down in tears while describing the dire situation in Puerto Rico and sharply criticized President Donald Trump for his administration's response so far to the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

"Again, Mr. Trump, we appreciate everything you are doing and we know it can be done faster", Cruz said. CBS News' David Begnaud traveled to Aguadilla, which was one of the hardest-hit towns on the western tip of Puerto Rico.

Ryan Gosling couldn't keep a straight face on 'Saturday Night Live'
Probably unleashing Che entirely is the best chance Weekend Update has of regaining relevancy. In the film, Gosling was seen as a musician with eyes on bringing jazz back to prominence.

"I am proud of the work that Department of Defense, FEMA, and the territory, along with the first responders, are doing", she said.

Trump responded Saturday morning to harsh critiques from San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz by targeting her personally. She said that if anyone can send anything solar-powered, she would pick it up and distribute it. "And if we don't get the food and the water into people's hands, what we are going to see is something close to a genocide". Nearly two weeks after being grazed by Hurricane Irma, Puerto Rico was bracing for a potentially devastating sequel: a direct hit from what could be the first Category 5 hurricane to strike here in close to a century.

Cruz earned bachelor's degree in political science from Boston University, graduating cum laude, and is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she received a master's degree.

FEMA administrator Brock Long also piled on: "The problem that we have with the mayor unfortunately is that unity of command is ultimately what's needed to be successful in this response", he said, requesting that she report to a joint field office.

Puerto Ricans have defended Cruz. In 2008, still affiliated with the party, she was elected to the House of Representatives in Puerto Rico.

"We will never be satisfied", Duke told CNN and reporters traveling with her on the tarmac at San Juan International Airport.

"Dammit, this is not a good news story".

"A firm believer that "the power is in the streets" Yulin strives to seek alliances to empower people and ensure an agenda of prosperity and social justice", the group wrote.
