MotoGP Aragon: Marquez 'nearly crashed many times' on way to win

Rossi back after double-leg break

The nine-time world champion finished nearly a second adrift of reigning MotoGP champion Marquez, who shares the lead in the 2017 title race with Andrea Dovizioso.

Ducati's Jorge Lorenzo was second on the day at 0.214sec with Yamaha Tech's Johann Zarco and Pedrosa's teammate and fellow Spaniard Marc Marquez next best.

Next to cross the chequered flag was Yamaha's Maverick Vinales, while Valentino Rossi finished fifth - returning from a broken leg only three weeks after sustaining the injury.

However, he couldn't match the pace of the Hondas in the final 10 laps as the three-time world champion had to settle for just his second podium of the season.

Vinales is third in the standings, 28 points behind Marquez and 26 points in front of fourth-place Pedrosa.

His nearest challenger was Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro, whose 1m49.206s lap vaulted him ahead of Marc VDS Honda rider Jack Miller in the closing stages. Finishing half a second behind Maverick Vinales, his team-mate.The net result of this means that Marquez who started the race tied with Dovi is now 16 points clear of the man on the Ducati.

North Korea's threat gives US a new set of challenges
Kim repeatedly referred to President Trump as a " dotard ", an arcane term used to describe a weak or senile elderly person. Trump asserted that North Korea's reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons threatens entire world with vast loss of human life.

All eyes were on Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Valentino Rossi at Motorland Aragon for round 14 of 18 in 2017 MotoGP.

"Very happy for the victory but I am happier because since yesterday I didn't feel like I expected with the bike". The tenth spot was taken by KTM's Pol Espargaro.

"I was riding smoother, although the feeling in the last part of the race wasn't a good one".

"When I caught Lorenzo, I said "okay now it is time to push, time to keep my pace", because I saw that Dani was coming faster and faster", said Marquez.

There are only four more rounds remaining - the next race is the Japan Grand Prix, in Motegi on 15 October.
