Mother!: Paramount forced to defend film following terrible audience rating score

Jennifer Lawrence reveals she's taking a two-year break from acting – to take up pottery

"Mother!" saw mixed reviews from critics - it scored 68% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

A move that's somewhat spectacularly backfired: It's become one of only a dozen or so movies to be branded with the dreaded F Cinemascore grade by USA moviegoers, the most violently negative reaction any film can have.

"This movie is very audacious and fearless", the company's worldwide president of marketing and distribution Megan Colligan said in a statement. "You are talking about a director at the top of his game, and an actress at the top her game".

So, with all this explained and laid out, does it still make it a good movie or is it just overwrought bollocks? Everyone wants original film-making, and everyone celebrates Netflix when they tell a story no one else wants to tell.

But this weekend Mother! was pushed to third, while IT took another $60 million, remaining at the top spot. This is our version.

Three years since his last movie, "Noah" Darren Aronofsky has returned with "Mother!", his new film with Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem in the main roles.

Indian government seek to deport 40000 Rohingya
Earlier, India has announced that it plans to deport an estimated 40,000 Rohingya Muslim refugees living illegally in the country. The Centre filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on Monday on the Rohingya matter.

From the beginning of the movie, we start feeling a odd atmosphere in the environment of the characters.

During a recent interview, Lawrence said, "Not at all". That puts it in the company of movies such as Killing Them Softly, and the remake of Solaris.

While an "F" CinemaScore is not a guarantee that a film will be a box office failure (The Devil Inside went on to gross more than $100 million globally), the score tends to hurt a film's word-of-mouth, as friends and family warn others to stay away from the theater.

The movie brought in an estimated $7.5 million domestically this weekend.

Record-setting horror film "It" dominated the North American box office for the second consecutive weekend, accounting for almost three times the combined ticket sales of the next two films, final figures showed Monday. It earned a rare "F" on CinemaScore. "It", the film adaptation of Stephen King's novel, now holds the record for the highest-grossing opening for the category, earning up to $123.4 million.
