London bombing is reason to expand U.S. travel ban

Terrorist Attack at London Underground Train

President Donald Trump has blasted the "loser terrorists" behind an attack on a London Underground train that has injured at least 18 people.

Trump's words came hours after his Friday morning tweet, which called the explosion another attack "by a loser terrorist".

That followed other tweets the president made on the attacks where he called the terrorists losers. Trump accused the mayor on Twitter of suggesting there was "no reason to be alarmed" by the attack itself.

Research suggests that most terrorists already live in the countries where they attack.

"We have to be tougher and we have to be smarter", Trump told reporters before going into the Oval Office.

So, as Frankie's mower roared into life, Mr Trump turned and strode to the Oval Office to - he said - place a call to Theresa May. and perhaps try to fix some of that damage.

Trump's top national security aide said that Trump was simply noting British law enforcement is keeping an eye on terrorist groups seeking to carry out attacks on its soil.

Trump similarly referred to his travel ban back in June immediately after news reports surfaced about the London Bridge terror attacks.

Trump later told reporters that the attack "is a awful thing".

There's plenty at stake going into Saturday's bout, the least of which isn't the crown for arguably the best active boxer on the planet.

'The travel ban into the United States should be far larger, tougher and more specific - but stupidly, that would not be politically correct!' Trump tweeted Friday.

The whole event was a little surreal: the President had gone outside to watch an 11-year-old called Frankie Giaccio mow the lawn (Frankie had written to the White House asking if he could) and ended up talking global affairs. "We have made more progress in the last nine months against ISIS than the Obama Administration has made in 8 years.Must be proactive & nasty!" the third and fourth tweet of Trump said.

Police say 30 people, including a young boy, were injured during the attack on a rush-hour train packed with school children and commuters.

Part of the problem is that Trump lacks the basic impulse control not to tweet.

Recently, the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to maintain its ban on refugees.

One of America's oldest and truest allies would appreciate it if Donald Trump would keep his opinions to himself.

Trump has not been shy in critiquing Khan, London's first Muslim mayor, on Twitter since taking office with Khan even calling on the British government to cancel Trump's state visit.

The ban affects travelers from six mostly Muslim nations and refugees anywhere in the world.
