As the audience cheered and applauded, Miley broke down in tears when she spoke about the empathy she feels for the hurricane's victims.

The actor announced Wednesday that his charitable foundation is donating $1 million to the United Way Harvey Recovery Fund that has just been established to fund short and long term relief and recovery efforts. I just, my grandma's sitting here and my mum's here and I go home to my seven dogs.

Cyrus insisted she didn't have to think twice about using her celebrity status for good. I'm really happy to help in any way I can.

The Malibu singer - who hails from Tennessee in Southern United States - is the latest celebrity to speak out over the devastating Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

Miley Cyrus made it clear that she's more than happy to be able to help out after Hurricane Harvey.

"Tell me exactly what the people of Houston need most", Ellen asked Watt during the show taping.
