Video Shows Car Plunge 7 Stories Off Parking Garage, Narrowly Miss SUV

A car fell seven stories out of an Austin Texas parking garage

In what can be seen as an unfathomable situation, a camera captured a vehicle falling into view out of nowhere at a parking garage in Austin.

The BMW hit, though not directly, a Chevy Tahoe driven by William Burch, who was waiting for coworkers in the alley where the crash occurred.

In the video released by the Austin Police Department on Thursday, an SUV drives slowly through an alley then comes to a stop.

The BMW came to rest upside down on its roof.

The BMW driver sustained serious injuries and the driver of the Tahoe was uninjured. They say she hit the gas instead of the brake and plowed through the cable wires that form a barrier along the edge of the garage.

Cardinals CF Dexter Fowler batted in the cleanup spot for the first time this year and only the 27th time in his 1,148 games. A not-so friendly-feline decided it needed a closer look at Wednesday night's game between the Kansas City Royals and the St.

"I was talking to my mom on speaker on my phone, and I heard all these loud noises and bangs", he said. Authorities said the woman was seriously injured.

"I can just imagine what she was thinking when I had said, 'a vehicle just landed on me, I gotta go, '" he said. The driver managed to escape with the help of a bystander.

The incident marked the second time in less than a year that a auto broke through the barriers of the same parking garage.

The garage was cited by Austin officials last September over unsafe barrier cable systems.
