This could be the end for snapchat after announcing huge losses

Snap's (NYSE:SNAP) “Neutral” Rating Reaffirmed at Piper Jaffray Companies

But Snapchat should wise up and play along. Aegis Capital maintained the shares of SNAP in report on Wednesday, June 21 with "Hold" rating. It did not go well. On average, analysts anticipate that Snap Inc. will post ($0.56) earnings per share for the current year. Snap's loss widened to $443 million, compared to $115.9 million in the same period previous year. Citigroup and their recent TP would indicate a potential upside of 7.17 % from the company's stock close price.

If Snap can break any of these trends, that'll be welcome news for investors, but it's learning quickly that life as a public company isn't quite so glamorous. Though they probably wouldn't be almost as nice as a breakdancing hot dog. And that wobbly foundation is eroding. Finally, Oppenheimer Holdings, Inc. raised shares of Snap from a "market perform" rating to an "outperform" rating and set a $23.00 price target for the company in a report on Thursday, May 11th. But the company has struggled to convince Wall Street that it can outmaneuver Instagram or that it can become a viable advertising destination to rival Facebook and Google's dominance on the Web. Spiegel and Murphy each owned almost 211 million shares of the company when it went public back in March - meaning they've both taken about a $380 million hit (on paper) this morning. Spiegel talked scornfully about growth hacking like he was using a handkerchief to pick up a filthy dead bird. A loss of 36 cents a share was bigger than expected and revenue also fell short of expectations. Spiegel needs to make people care about Snapchat by re-communicating its goal and place in their lives and explaining why, if they don't have it now, they're going to want it soon. He has a plan, even if he won't discuss it in much detail.

And Spiegel, who the magazine had previously said was worth $4 billion, was suddenly $1.4 billion richer. And now they are annoyed when the company keeps missing some arbitrary growth numbers.

New Details On Benicio Del Toro's 'Star Wars' Character Revealed
Hamill's striking blue eyes pierce through the magazine as the actor gives a strong and stoic glance ahead. In The Force Awakens he was still coming to grips with who he wanted to be.

We get used to things like Snapchat and, once they've been on our phones and in our lives for a while, we take them for granted. But to gain additional revenue from users, he said, Snapchat would have to beef up its content and rapidly improve its product. An analyst asked Spiegel to specifically explain the so-called growth-hacking techniques - things like sending lots of push notifications that are created to boost app usage - he opposes.

Snapchat has many ways of making money from clever partnerships, from sponsored lenses and geofilters to outright ads. Underlings can't simply repeat that Evan Spiegel has a long-term strategy and it will all work out just fine.

Spiegel touted Snapchat's Memories feature, which acts like a camera roll for saving photos and videos that would otherwise expire. The popular messaging company has been clobbered during its first six months on the public markets.
