Girl throws boiling water on resting 11-year-old at Bronx sleepover

Boiling water poured on 11-year-old girl's face at sleepover in Bronx

The assertion comes after eleven year old girl, Jamoneisha Merritt was left with scalding hot burns in a 'hot water challenge' dare during a Monday night sleepover at her best friend's house.

The family shared a heartbreaking photo of Jamoneishia in the burn unit, showing the girl with injuries to her face, neck, back and shoulders.

According to police, Jamoneisha Merritt was at a friend's home for a sleepover when the 12-year-old girl boiled water and poured it on Merritt while she slept on a couch.

A sleepover among schoolchildren ended with a young girl suffering permanent scars to her face and upper body after she was intentionally doused with boiling water while she slept.

Merritt was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition. It's been going on several times. "You let this happen to my daughter!"

Jamoneisha's family won't yet show the girl how badly her face is burned.

When Merritt awoke, Richardson said she heard intense yells coming from her cousin.

French soldiers hit by vehicle in Paris suburb Levallois-Perret
Last weekend, a teenager with a knife shouting " Allahu akbar " attempted to force his way into the Eiffel Tower . On Wednesday morning, a BMW positioned itself in a small alley in Levallois-Perret, a Paris suburb, lying in wait.

"My daughter tried to stab herself with a knife", Panton said.

Panton said that Merritt "basically moved into their apartment" about a month ago and had consistently stayed overnight.

Her mother, Ebony, says her daughter is in a lot of pain.

"I think the only reason why she in good spirits is because she doesn't actually see the damage done to her".

Merritt's cousin, Yolanda Richardson, told NBC 4 NY that the pair had been arguing before the boiling water was thrown onto her cousin's face. "I don't want her to see me cry".

Jamoneisha's attack was apparently part of the "hot water challenge", in which an unsuspecting victim has hot water thrown on them. At this point, none of the other children are facing charges. "I couldn't even imagine a child doing that to another child", Lawrene said.
