Jaguars OT Branden Albert to unretire

Branden Albert wants to return to Jaguars

However, even with Albert's change of heart, he may have trouble finding a place to play this year, as ESPN reported that the Jaguars are "unlikely" to allow him to return to the team.

If he unretires and the Jaguars decide they no longer want him, Albert would go through the waiver process and become a free agent should no team claim him.

Jaguars second-round pick Cam Robinson had already been competing with Albert for the starting left tackle job, so it's possible the team committed to the rookie after Albert retired on July 31.

At the moment it's not clear why Alert chose to walk away after nine National Football League seasons or why he has suddenly changed his mind.

Those who do become ill usually experience mild symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle ache, rash, and fatigue. They also recommend choosing a mosquito repellent that is registered by the EPA and contains DEET.

Ultimately Albert did show for the mandatory minicamp and (later) the start of training camp on July 26 before deciding to walk away after three practices. He did not participate in the Jaguars' voluntary offseason conditioning program and organized team activities because he wanted a contract that included guaranteed money. NFL.com noted that Albert's decision meant he would owe the Jaguars $3.4 million in "signing-bonus forfeiture".

The Jaguars, who are holding joint practices with the Patriots in New England, declined comment on the situation Monday.

Miami basically traded Albert to Jacksonville for tight end Julius Thomas on March 9, and the teams exchanged late-round draft picks. He had five days to return to the team before going on the reserve/retired list or being released.

Albert, 32, has earned two trips to the Pro Bowl and remains one of the better pass-protecting left tackles in the NFL. The Dolphins signed Albert in 2014 giving him a signing bonus of $8.5 million. Albert has missed 20 games over the past five seasons, including four last season with the Dolphins.
