A Fox News spokesperson said in a statement Saturday that Bolling was suspended "pending the results of an investigation, which is now underway".

According to the Huffington Post, Bolling sent "an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News".

Fox News has chose to suspend longtime host Eric Bolling amid allegations that he sent a lewd and inappropriate photos to several female colleagues a few years ago.

Bolling himself tweeted Monday morning, "Overwhelmed by all the support I have received". He also anchors the Fox News program Both Fox News and Fox Business expect to use rotating substitute hosts in Bolling's place.

Fox News' late founding CEO Roger Ailes stepped down past year amid a series of sexual harassment allegations. Former network contributor Caroline Heldman was one of the women who opened up and accused Bolling of trying to fly her out to NY in an attempt to have "fun" with him.

One of the women said when she told him to stop sending her pics, Bolling did not respond.

Heldman referred to Bolling's suspension in a post on her Facebook page, which HuffPost has confirmed belongs to her.

Heldman stated that he once offered to fly her to NY to "have fun", and that the one time she agreed to see his office, he immediately told her it was his favorite place to have sex.

"There are a lot of great people working at Fox, many of whom I admire and respect to this day, but there is also a culture of sexual harassment that has not fully been addressed", said Ms. Heldman.

"Specialists" is an important piece of Fox's weekday schedule, since it airs at an early evening hour - 5 p.m. ET - and helps drive a big audience to the network's prime time hours. Over the years, many women have come forward to reveal the sexual harassment they faced at the network.
