Rick Perry tricked into talking about pig manure in Russian prank call

Perry spoke about energy development in Ukraine before demurring about the possibility of a moonshine-manure fuel

Pranksters Vladimir Krasnov and Alexei Stolyarov are sometimes called the "Jerky Boys of Russian Federation", after an American duo who put out recordings of their prank phone calls in the 1990s. Perry talked about expanding American coal exports, then kicked around the Paris Climate Accord before veering into a subject that he feels has real possibilities: the chance of using pig manure as a power source.

Perry also mentioned an upcoming August meeting where USA business executives will talk about extracting oil and natural gas in Ukraine, the Post reported.

Russian media say Perry appeared to respond positively to the idea after being told about the fuel created from a mix of home-brewed alcohol and manure. The phone conversation was first reported by E&E news, recorded and posted online on (//bit.ly/2eMg35v). The Energy Department confirmed with The Washington Post that Perry had indeed been pranked on a telephone call and that the culprits were two Russian pranksters who had previously deceived other public figures. In the latest case with Perry, it related to Ukraine's energy security. Alas, the 22-minute phone call was actually conducted with Russian pranksters.

On the other end of the conversation were Vladimir "Vovan" Kuznetsov and Alexei "Lexus" Stolyarov, who had just added Perry to their list of high-profile hoax victims.

Perry also discussed the Paris climate accord and defended President Donald Trump's to pull out of the global agreement. According to Reuters, they set up the call with Perry last week - about a month after Perry met with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. "I look forward to being able to visit with the president and getting a more in-depth briefing [on the pig sh*t-based biofuel]", Perry said during the conversation.

What a trip! Todd Frazier hits into triple play in YS debut
Homer Bailey (2-5) lost his third start in a row, giving up seven runs, five earned, and 10 hits in six-plus innings. Mixing his pitches and showing better control, he has allowed one earned run in 21 innings since the All-Star break.

An audio recording (below) has been posted to YouTube, but the Russian dialogue has not yet been translated into English.

Kuznetsov and Stolyarov are well-known pranksters in Russian Federation and several other celebrities and political officials have been victims of their antics.

Krasnov and Stolyarov are the same Russian pranksters who fooled entertainer Elton John in 2015, impersonating Russian President spokesman, Dmitry Peskov who supposedly acted as an interpreter for President Vladimir Putin, The Guardian noted.

"That does not sound reasonable to me", Perry said.

Seems like Perry's got some phone censoring to do.
