Trump's United Kingdom visit should be cancelled, says London Mayor Sadiq Khan

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has suggested that U.S. President Donald Trump should not be welcomed to the United Kingdom because his policies are incompatible with British values, as a planned state visit approaches.

Trump made a decision to follow up on his criticism of the Mayor's statement, saying again on Twitter, "Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement".

After copping criticism from both sides of the Atlantic for a political attack on a fellow leader in the aftermath of a terror attack, President Trump only doubled down.

During the USA presidential election campaign, Khan was among many people who spoke out against Trump's proposed ban on Muslims entering the United States, an idea he said would play into the hands of extremists. We have a special relationship and we should work closely with the Americans. You stand with them in times of adversity but you call them out when they are wrong.

Khan was backed by predecessor Boris Johnson, who said he was "perfectly right to reassure the public about the presence of armed officers on the street".

Trump first hit out at the mayor on Sunday morning, just a couple of hours after the terrorist attack took place.

Well, Khan didn't voluntarily take the time to respond to Trump's beyond-weird tactics, but ITV Channel 4 asked him what he thought of Trump's criticism in light of a future state visit to England.

Amazon said to plan cuts to shed Whole Foods's pricey image
However, with the acquisition of Whole Foods , Amazon has confirmed that it plans to be a serious player in this segment. Whole Foods is also known for paying their workers very well and this may not be the case under Amazon's rule.

Trump later branded Khan's statement on the terror attack as a "pathetic excuse".

U.K. Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson was quick in saying that the invitation to the US had been issued and accepted.

"Every time he (President Trump) puts something out there, he gets criticized by the media all day every day and by everyone else, and guess what, two weeks later he's proven to be right".

Politicians condemned Trump for attacking Khan after the incident, that saw three jihadis go on a stabbing rampage on Saturday night, killing seven and injuring 48.

Mr Khan, a Muslim, has previously criticised the president's travel ban, which is stalled in the courts but seeks to stop people from six mainly-Muslim countries.

This set off a cold war between Trump and Khan, with a series of angry retorts passing between them.

Khan's remarks, however, were reportedly addressing the increased police presence that residents should expect in the coming days.
