How Wonder Woman Is Inspiring Business Leaders Worldwide

Well, that's what happened to the ELLE UK team this morning when we read that Gal Gadot - a.k.a the badass Israeli actress whose film Wonder Woman lassoed over £100 million in its first weekend - reportedly earned just £236,000 for her role as the DC Universe character. Think again. Although Gadot's Wonder Woman salary has been public knowledge for some time, multiple outlets (such as Refinery29, The Daily Dot, and Teen Vogue) are reporting that she's making less money as a DCEU actor than her male counterparts.

Sarah goes on to argue that if anything, Gadot has incredible leverage to bring to the table should she renegotiate her contract with Warner Bros. or decide to sign a new contract elsewhere. If it doesn't, well, she hasn't signed on for anything beyond Justice League, so her agent is probably working on cutting a much more lucrative deal for the inevitable Wonder Woman II, where she saves the world from a "war to end all wars" that takes place a mere twenty years after she ensures an everlasting Earthly peace. As Wonder Woman continues to hold its own in the box office, Jay says that the success of the film and for its director, Patty Jenkins, can open the doors for more women in Hollywood. And Vulture reported that "Cavill made a six-figure paycheck comparable to Gadot's for Man of Steel and that his co-star Amy Adams, a much bigger name, pulled in seven figures to play his Lois Lane".

"This situation carries a whiff of Hollywood's gender pay gap", the news website argued.

However, now it is 2017 and Gal Gadot has proven her worth and people want to know more about her salary and if her contract offers a bonus of sorts based on results.

It's not bad considering director Patty Jenkins claimed she wouldn't have even cast Gadot if it were up to her.

79 now feared dead or missing in London blaze, police say
This relies on dental records, fingerprints and DNA when possible and also features like tattoos or scars. British officials have announced a nationwide minute of silence to honor the victims on Monday morning.

Gal Gadot's paycheck for Wonder Woman wasn't as low, comparatively-speaking, as a previous report had indicated.

Gal Gadot was paid similarly to Chris Evans for the first Captain America movie.

As reported by The Daily Dot, Gal Gadot only earned $300,000 United States dollars for her excellent performance in Wonder Woman. Many Marvel actors also face inequality in pay within the camp, regardless of the popular movies backing them. The film has become a box office smash hit and her star is on the rise; surely she is making a salary to match her recent success? Not only does Robert Downey Jr. play a multi-millionaire in the Marvel movies, they actually made him one in real life as well.

Wonder Woman has soared to $573 million worldwide, an impressive amount in such a short time.
