Pence to share stage during Trump's IN campaign rally

Pence to share stage during Trump's IN campaign rally

Those are some of the reasons why it's easy to understand how Pence could be appealing to the Trump campaign.

Among those designated as hosts are three individuals likely to seek approval from the Republican State Central Committee to replace Pence as the GOP gubernatorial candidate if Trump selects Pence as his running mate: House Speaker Brian Bosma, R-Indianapolis; Republican Chairman Jeff Cardwell; and state Sen. Both Trump and Pence will attend a fundraiser in downtown Indianapolis and then a public rally in nearby Westfield.

But Pence, who rose to become the No. 3-ranking House Republican before being elected governor in 2012, downplayed those differences Tuesday - cribbing Trump's campaign slogan while making the case for Trump's election.

Numerous Hoosier Republicans quietly hoped Trump would combine his IN campaign stop with the announcement that he had selected Pence for vice president.

Finally, there are some rumors claiming that instead of Mike Pence, Trump could be considering two retired generals, Michael Flynn and Stanley McChrystal, but it's less likely for this to happen, as he declared that he prefers someone "political", rather than a military figure.

While he has no insider information, Shine believes tomorrow's Trump rally would be an ideal time to make the announcement. The means that Pence would be giving up a strong chance to return to the governorship in order to play a role in a Trump campaign that is very, very far from being an assured success.

South China Sea Verdict: US Reactions
USA lawmakers have called for the United States to uphold freedom of navigation and overflight in the South China Sea . The ruling may be a serious loss of face for China in ASEAN area over which it has tremendous influence.

But he also made the case for Trump's election, saying, "I'm prepared to make that case anywhere across IN and anywhere across this country that Donald Trump would want me to".

"I think Mike Pence is most - in my opinion is best - situated to help in the swing states here in the Midwest".

"The Indiana governor and former congressman has already passed one important hurdle, the source said: "(The) Pence vet was completely clean and that mattered.

Putting a stalwart social conservative and Evangelical Christian like Pence on the ticket might help to ease concerns among Republicans about their presumptive nominee's conservative bona fides. "I think it's possible IN could become a swing state - look at 2008 - but it depends on the broader electoral situation".

If offered the position, Mike Pence will have to decide quickly if he wants on the ticket. Chris Christie is the term-limited governor of New Jersey who couldn't make it past New Hampshire in his own presidential run and is disliked by most everyone in his state and America at large. The two candidates were involved in the closest race for governor in the state's history four years ago. He did not name either one he said was under consideration.
